  • Peter K. Clear picture, less eye strain
The yellow lenses really brighten things up at night and in the rain. The dark ones give a clear picture in bright sun and take the strain off your eyes.

Dark is not the same as clear

What glare actually is

Glare is not brightness. It is light bouncing flat off water, off hot bitumen, off the bonnet in front of you. A tinted lens just dims the whole world, so the glare is still there, only darker.

A polarised filter removes the reflected light and leaves the rest. It is closer to turning the volume down than turning the lights off.

How to check ours are real

Hold any pair up to your phone screen and slowly turn them sideways. If the screen goes black, the lens is genuinely polarised. If nothing happens, it is a tint.

Do it with the pair you own now. Then do it with ours. That is the whole demonstration, and it is why we would rather show you than tell you.

Why fifty-nine and not three hundred

Same physics, same TR-90 frame material, same UV400 across the full A, B and C spectrum. What you are not paying for is a licensed logo, a retail lease and a middleman.

The premium brands break too. Ours are priced so that when a pair goes over the side, it is a shrug and not a story you tell for a year.

Why Hardlight exists

Why we sell these at fifty nine dollars

I have been selling these same polarised frames in another market for a while now. Same lenses, same factory, thousands of pairs. Every time somebody asked what made them different from the three hundred dollar pair in the shopping centre, the honest answer was not much, except the number on the tag.

Most of what you pay a big brand is not the lens. It is the retail lease, the distributor, and the name printed on the arm.

So we brought them to Australia and New Zealand directly and left all of that out. Fifty nine dollars. The same glare cut whether you are on the water, out in the paddock, or watching the road for ten hours straight.

If they are not right, tell us and we will fix it. That part is not marketing.

Good lenses should not cost $300.
